“Expect great things from God; attempt great things for God!” ― William Carey
I was born in Ohio where I grew up on a farm and worked on a nearby dairy farm until I joined the Army after graduating high school. I married the love of my life, Lisa, and we have been married for 35 years. We have one son, Ethan, who is 30, and a Doberman named Molly. After we were married we lived in Germany for almost 5 years, then moved to New England where we first lived in Massachusetts then New Hampshire for 20 years. After that, we moved to Ohio for 5 years and now we are loving living in Texas!
I served in the Army for eight years and worked as a Metrologist, and no it has nothing to do with the weather, for over 30 years in a few different positions and companies. I worked on a pig farm hauling pigs from one farm to another while also doing deliveries for Lowes. I pastored a church in Ohio, planted another, and then moved to Texas to help launch another.
I have a BS in Religion: Biblical and Theological Studies, an MDIV in Evangelism and Church Planting, and an MS in Social Media Management. I love to learn and I plan to return to college to finish my BS in Computer/Software Programming so that I can follow one of my passions is to write software to control test equipment to automate the calibration process.
I love to read about business and two of my favorite books are Purple Cow: Transform Your Business by Being Remarkable by Seth Godin and Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap…And Others Don’t by Jim Collins. I also enjoy listening to podcast in which two of my top are Ear Biscuits and Carey Nieuwhof’s leadership podcast.

Austin Art Garage | Jake Bryer: In 2007 my goal was to start a local art gallery that would accommodate people of all socio-economic walks of life. Somewhere along the way I became an artist. My work mostly represents composite photography and some digital mixed media. Typically, I take 10 to 20 photographs and digitally layer them, thus creating painterly and/or surreal environments.
